I sent out the details, the subscription came through and I posted out the fanzine to the clubs address, a few days later I received an email with the picture of the Holy Goalie reading the fanzine.

John Kennedy has called out the Covid19 double standards in Scotland but why do Peter Lawell and the board remain silent? He is still getting paid to run the club and he needs to be publicly questioning why the SFA and the SNP have a different approach to breaches of Covid19 protocol and policy between Celtic and the Newco across the city.
Neil Lennon was the face of the club during the breaches of Covid at the club instead of Lawell and now he has been replaced by Kennedy to call it out. Has Peter lined up a nice semi-retirement number with the SFA or UEFA and doesn’t want to be seen to rock the boat?
He should not only be rocking the boat he should be shouting from the rooftops about the double standards in Scottish Football. Why have 5 Newco players still been allowed to play football after attending a house party in February? If it smells like corruption then it must be corruption but then again just like the old club the new club are getting looked after with or without dodgy handshakes.
Once the final whistle has sounded at Ibrox next week then I’m sure that SFA will put a ban in place for the party of 5 once they have consulted Stewart Robertson and Stevie G for advice.

Celtic Soul Podcast Episode 60 with More than 90 Minutes, Editor Andrew Milne chatting to Rudi Vata and Eddie Toner with David Potter and some match day friends.
Celtic AM Scottish Cup Special, Andrew returns after a year with the show which differs from the normal Celtic Soul Podcast which was recorded for Celtic Fanzine TV. All is explained in the intro from Andrew.
Celtic historian and author David Potter kicks off the show with a history lesson of Celtic in the Scottish Cup including recounting his own memories from 1965 onwards and he also recalls his father’s stories of famous finals in his time.
Plenty of Celtic fans are also on hand to recall their favourite Cup moments. Frank McAvennie in the Centenary season, giving Maggie Thatcher the red card and Tom Rogic’s magical late invisible treble winning goal are just three that get mentioned.
Eddie Toner chats to Andrew about how special the Scottish Cup is and his memories include the story behind a man in his thirties dressed in a full kit for the final in 1995 and the celebrations that night when Tommy Burns took the team bus through the Gorbals and the Gallowgate on the way back to Celtic Park.
Rudi Vata recalls being on the bus that day with two special Celtic fans who lived the dream, Paul McStay and Tommy Burns and how special a day it was for the team and he also goes back to relive that perfect pass in the semi-final when he found Phil O’Donnell for the third goal in a 3-1 win over Hibs to secure victory.

It is very welcoming news that the Rangers are finally waking up to racism in football and maybe now they can start to get their own house in order and to address the racism and sectarianism problems within the club. It would be a positive step in the right direction if they would address the songs sung by their fans, the Nazi salutes made by their fans who have links to far-right groups.
We have all seen the posts by some of their fans on social media regarding BLM and the taking of the knee and the anti-Irish graffiti that has appeared through-out Glasgow.
Racism on Social Media is nothing new decent people have been calling it out for many years. Social Media can be great, getting you connected with long lost family, friends and like-minded people but it can also be a filthy swamp with faceless accounts made for people who want to abuse and create conflict yet those who are responsible for these acts go unchallenged apart from a short ban and in most cases, those banned will switch to another account.
If you set up an account to put a bet on with an online bookies you have to input your details including photo identification so why can social media companies not do the same?
As Celtic supporters also need to call out racists in our own support and maybe we should get a debate started on why some of our fans need to sing about Orange Bastards. We are a club for all and some of the club’s greats have come from the Protestant faith as have some of the great historical leaders of Irish Rebellion which we remember in story and song.
We as Celtic fans should be proud of our political and social stances over the years including the display of solidarity with the people of Palestine. The Green Brigade display caught the attention of the World and showed Celtic fans as more than just football fans. They told us that politics has no place in Sport and fined us but we responded by paying the fine and sending much needed money to Palestine charities.
The stance on Politics in Sport from the powners that be in football has all changed with BLM movement.
Football is big business and big business is corrupt because money corrupts and we have seen that with the awarding of the World Cup to Qatar. Migrant workers have been treated very poorly while they build super stadiums in savage heat. An estimated 6,000 migrant workers from 5 South Asian countries have died since the country was awarded the World Cup and 37 have been killed on stadium construction sites.
Fair play to the Norwegian national team for wearing the T-Shirts with the slogan “HUMAN RIGHTS On and off the pitch”, I just wish more would follow their example. Maybe the reason that social media companies won’t put proper registration in place is because it would reduce the amount of account holders using the service and reduce the revenue streams it creates for the shareholders.

There are no headlines without Howe these days when it comes to Celtic. Every Celtic player out on loan has had plenty column inches written about their return under Howe or Howe he might give them a chance. There has been nothing officially from Celtic yet and it is turning into a bit of a media circus for the tabloids and the click sites.
We even wrote a headline ourselves just one mind you in all the months he has been linked with the job and that was yesterday because like everyone else we have little details but I did back him to get the job but I’m told now that I might lose my bet if John Kennedy remains in charge for ten games, I wait in hope for a few quid and a new start at Celtic for Eddie.
A boy on twitter, a girl on Facebook have replaced the bloke down the pub during lock down with the exclusives but I’m sure they have as much insight into what’s going on behind the scenes as those proclaiming to have Exclusives!
The Celtic FC Foundations work, the ongoing fundraising for the Kano Foundation and other Celtic supporter fundraisers are struggling to get their story out and if they do it gets lost in a swamp of Howe mania.
The Celtic Colts story has been barely covered and unless I may be looking in the wrong place on the club’s official site, I haven’t seen a match report yet on Sundays Woman’s match and Celtic’s defeat to Glasgow City. The interest in the Howe managerial appointment has took the attention and hype away from the upcoming Glasgow Scottish Cup Derby and it has also knocked the darling of the Scottish media, Stevie G off the back page headlines.
I mentioned above about Celtic players out on loan, one of those who is catching the eye quietly is Irish under 21 striker Jonathon Afolabi who scored for Dundee after coming off the bench to get the second goal in the 3-0 win over Ayr. Former Celtic player and Celtic fan Paul McGowan knocked in the third.
If Eddie Howe is not appointed as Celtic manager there will be tears and I’m sure plenty of headlines as to Why and Howe he didn’t take the job but he will take it won’t he??

As we wait for the white smoke to confirm Eddie Howe as our new manager, we can rest easy that we won’t be linked now to a different manager every two minutes. The debate now surrounds when he will take over, will it be straight away or will it be in June. I think most fans would prefer if it happened now after John Kennedy’s failed dress rehearsal.
From a business point of view, it would also make sense and it would seem foolish by Desmond Dermot and the board not to get Eddie and his backroom staff in place with Season Books to be sold for another season of uncertainty for if and when we can get back into watch football again in Paradise.
When Howe is announced the rebuild can begin as we also wait to see who will become head of recruitment or director of football or whatever the title will be.
It will be interesting to see with the departure of Scott Brown if Callum McGregor remains club captain or if Eddie Howe will have someone else in mind and will it be someone already there or a new player. Eddie Howe will have to learn pretty quick that the Celtic managers job and the Bournemouth managers job are completely different animals and winning games is what it is all about domestically and we as fans crave to dine again at the top table of the Champions League after having been starved in recent seasons. Next seasons Champions League Campaign will kick off on July 21/22 and the earlier he is officially appointed the better.
The new manager will soon find out the part the media play in Scottish football and that the Scottish football authorities are no friends of Celtic. This season has summed that up with their approach to Covid breaches, one rule for us and another for them and let’s not get started on the standard of Scotland’s fast tracked bias referees who are known to support the new team in blue and are known to make honest mistakes.
I better stop I’m starting to get carried away, I really should wait to chat about the new manager when he is standing with a Celtic Scarf over his head when that takes place and I think it will go some way to unite the Celtic fans who have been divided over a lot this season but all have the best interests of the club at heart.

With the league now a distant memory, we can look forward to the fourth-round clash with our neighbors from across the city. The rangers who will be aiming to win the first Scottish Cup in their short history. They and their fans continue to give the two fingered salute to society by ignoring the safe Covid practices everyone else has been following so to keep Scotland safe hopes will be high for a Celtic victory.
Celtic dominated the game against Falkirk on Saturday evening live on Premier Sports even if they did make us wait almost an hour before James Forest who came back in the starting line-up opened the scoring, a player we have missed this season while he was out with injury. Ryan Christie got the second after been misfiring for most of the season and Mo Elyounoussi added a third to set up a Glasgow derby with the Newco.
The game will take place on Saturday, April 17 with the kick-off time of 4pm and not the usual noon kick off time when both clubs meet. This will give the Police plenty of time to arrange an escort into the Georges Square for the after party should the new club beat Celtic.
In the case that Celtic win, then the batons will be polished and ready to attack any Celtic fans who might be planning to pop out to the off license for a quiet celebration like the one we had when we won 9IAR.
Now we know that Mathematics has not been a strong point of the fans of the new club with the 1 + 0 = 55 shenanigans but it would seem that they also think they can still go domestically undefeated. I had Jacky Meehan from the NAFCSC on the Celtic Soul Podcast on Friday who pointed out that to do this they will need a time machine to go back and beat St. Mirren. They would also need that time machine to go back and save their club before they let it die.

Neil Lennon and Nick Hammond have left the Celtic Park building and Peter Lawell will start to hand over his portfolio to Dominic McKay who will arrive early at Celtic Park on April 19th. A positive step in the eyes of most if not all Celtic fans.
Peter will officially sign off on July 1st, who knows maybe he and Scott Brown can sign off their time at Celtic with another piece of silverware in the cabinet with the Scottish Cup up for grabs after a European and League campaign we would rather erase from our memories.
Hopefully Eddie Howe will be also in place as manager and maybe then we will get a better picture of how the football department will be structured at the club going forward be that with a Sporting director, Director of Football or Head of Recruitment.
Whoever comes in to fill this role they will need a short-term plan to get us back on track but we as fans would hope to see a long-term strategy with so much uncertainty surrounding the World of football and the financial implications after Covid.
Hopefully the vaccine can be the game changer that gets us back to Celtic Park as a United support and Dominic’s first action as CEO will be to let the fans know that the board have agreed to the share proposal put forward from the Celtic Trust for season book holders to be compensated for this season with shares without a penny leaving the club as we will need as much cash available at these uncertain times to rebuild.
