Excitement builds ahead of Saturday

All roads now lead to Hampden Park on Saturday for the Scottish Cup 3pm kick off when the Champions of Scotland, Celtic take on the tribute act known as the rangers.

Celtic go into the game in confident mode after beating their Glasgow rivals 4 times in the league this season. Celtic fans will be looking once again to paint the town Green and White after last weekend’s title party celebrations.

The party got started after Celtic beat the rangers at Celtic Park to move 6 points clear. Pubs not only in Glasgow but all around the World started popping the champagne corks.

With only a point needed on our visit to Rugby Park to retain the title and complete the 3IAR, the Celtic players really turned on the style. There were plenty of smiling faces the next day in the workplace even if many were nursing hangovers.

Last Saturday was just one big party from the Celtic team’s arrival up Paradise way led by Joe Hart on his last day between sticks for the Hoops till the wee hours of Sunday morning.

The Green Brigade display as Joe emerged from the tunnel for the second half was a touch of class. I’m sure he enjoyed the day as did thousands of fans who gathered in the East End of the city for the street party.

But the party is now on hold as we look towards Saturday and Brendan Rodgers will be preparing the team for the game. Let’s hope it’s a double celebration as excitement builds ahead of Saturday and another Glasgow Derby.
