Andrew Milne chats to Champion Boxer, Oisín Fagan.
The Dubliner took up boxing after falling down on his luck after he finished a soccer scholarship in America, he found himself homeless and sleeping in his car or on friends sofas. His life changed when he walked into a boxing gym and asked a promoter to get him a fight so he could make some money to get back to Ireland.
He got $200 for his first fight, not enough to get home but that night he got lucky and got a job offer to teach in a local school. His life changed and he would go onto fight World Champions Amir Khan and Julio César Chávez Jr.
He fought in Madison Sq. Gardens and the MGM Las Vegas as well as the Point Depot in his hometown Dublin this is his story a story of faith and the heart of a lion.
