The transfer window is closed some players have left for pastures new and two players have arrived and now all Celtic fans thoughts turn to tonight’s game v Dundee.
Tonight Celtic return to domestic business at Celtic Park after a comfortable 3-1 win at Fir Park against Motherwell on Sunday. Adam Idah led the line and got his goal after Daizen Mada opened the scoring. Jota came off the bench for a dream return to the club to score a late goal in front of the Celtic supporters.
Celtic’s latest signing Jeffrey Schlupp may play some part tonight after arriving from Crystal Palace on a loan deal until the end of the season.
Brendan Rodgers did not get the quality striker into the club in the window that he wanted after the departure of Kyogo and will now work on improving the strikers he has at his disposal including Johnny Kenny who Shamrock Rovers had hoped would return to Dublin on another loan spell.
Tonight Dundee visit the Eastend of Glasgow for the rescheduled game after it was postponed on Sat. Jan 25 due to storm damage.
Celtic fans had already arrived in Glasgow from Ireland and beyond before the game was called off. The winners on the day were the pubs of a green and white persuasion in and around the city.
Dundee were hammered 6-0 by Hearts at Dens Park at the weekend but performed much better against us when we travelled up to Dundee a few weeks back.
A late Engels penalty secured a share of the spoils for Celtic on the night that the home supporters thought they were heading for famous victory.
On the night Celtic dominated the first half but Dundee forced Celtic into some comical defending in the second half. The game finished 3-3 and we were thankful of the point as we headed back to Glasgow on the night and we will be expecting a better performance tonight when we take our seats later in Paradise.
