The Celtic players ran out to an impressive Tifo last night organised by the Green Brigade to celebrate the formation of our club. Sadly that was the end to anything impressive for Celtic supporters on the night.
It took 8 first half minutes to dismantle another Celtic Europa away night. It would be harsh to point the finger at interim manager Martin O’ Neill as we all know the problem at the club runs much deeper than the dugout.
The Europa League leaders gave Celtic a spanking and now MON has to pick the players up before Kilmarnock visit Celtic for a 4pm kick off on Sunday. Celtic’s defence was dismantled by the Danes and it was not a happy homecoming for birthday bhoy Kasper Schmeichel picking the ball out of the net 3 times.
Half time came and you are fearing the worst could this be another Dortmund nightmare. Thankfully the home team failed to score in the second half even though they had plenty of chances. Something had to change and James Forest and Johnny Kenny went for an early shower with Daizen Maeda who was a surprise omission from the starting line and Callum Osmand replaced them.

Second half sub Rio Hatate converted a penalty to give the travelling Celtic fans something to cheer about in between chants of sack the board. Callum Osmand was taken down for the penalty and soon after he was on a stretcher leaving the pitch in agony after pulling a hamstring.
The injury list continues to grow and the Celtic boards failure to replace Kyogo and Idah now leaves Johnny Kenny as the only fit striker at the club.
Last season at this time of the year Kuhn was our first choice on the right wing and in the form of his life. Last night veteran James Forest was called upon to start against one of the best teams in the competition. Fail to prepare – Prepare to fail comes to mind!
Next up in Europe we travel to Rotterdam to play Feyenoord later in the month, they were beaten 2-0 away to Stuttgart yesterday. Our trip to Holland is followed by Roma who will be back in Glasgow after strolling to a 2-0 win at Ibrox and they will be confident of repeating the result at Celtic Park.
After last nights result Celtic drop from 21st to 27th in the table with 4 points from a possible 12 while the rangers sit rock bottom with 0 points.
