Following today’s meeting with the local Safety Advisory Group, Celtic have been informed that around 9,000 supporters will be permitted access to Tuesday night’s UEFA Champions League second qualifying round first leg match against FC Midtjylland at Celtic Park. It is not the 20,000 we had prayed for but it is certainly a giant step towards all fans getting back into the stadium.

Yes we are all disappointed that more supporters will not be able to attend but the 9000 will give the players a big lift in Ange Postecoglou’s first competitive game. We are all waiting in hope to see if we are one of the lucky ones to get the Golden ticket.
Details on match ticket balloting will be shared in the next 24 hours and I would imagine that the 2000 attending Saturdays game against Preston North End will be omitted from the ballot
