After a sunshine filled trip to Cork. Brendan Rodgers and the players move on to Portugal to continue the preparation for the start of the competitive season against St. Mirren on Sunday 03 August when the Champions Flag will once again be raised before the kick off to the new season.
This Saturday July 12 Celtic will take on Estrela da Amadoro behind closed doors. It will be the third game of the pre-season after they kicked off with 1-0 win over Queens Park and a 2-1 win over Cork City. Players who were away on international duty after the Scottish Cup Final and have yet to feature this pre-season will play some part in the game according to the manager.
Nicknamed the Tricolours, CF Estrela hail from Amadoro Northwest of Lisbon and are only 5 years old. They play in the Primeira Liga after winning promotion from Liga Portugal 2 in 2022/23. They finished 15th last season in a league of 18.
The only way to watch the game is on Celtic TV who will live screen the build up from 10am and kick off time of 11AM.
