Paul Sheridan from the Wakes took to the Purple Room at the Crescent Concert Hall’s Purple Room to deliver a solo tribute to the music, words and legacy of the great Shane MacGowan.
The Glasgow singer, songwriter played his way through the Shane MacGowan songbook from the Pogues to the Popes and included some of the cover versions that Shane covered over the years. On the night he paid tribute to the Birmingham Six’s Paddy Hill who passed away recently.
Keep an eye out for solo shows by Paul around Ireland and he returns to the stage with the Wakes as part of the Kano Foundation’s 15th Anniversary celebrations at the SEC Armadillo in Glasgow. Support on the night comes from Celtic Park favourite Liam McGrandles and the Hot Whiskeys from Belfast.
