events
Event Date: 5 February 2026

Rosie Maguire’s are delighted to announce another 3 Special Celtic Festival Guests. Former Celtic players Joe Miller, Tommy Johnston and Alan Thompson will be joining Celtic fans from around the globe at Europe’s Biggest End of Season Party on the Costa Blanca. The Event takes place Thursday 04 June to Sunday 07 June.

The Bhoys will be joining former Celts Peter Grant, Jackie McNamara and Simon Donnelly for plenty of fun in the sun.

Super Joe Miller is the goal scoring hero of the Scottish Cup in 1989 at Hampden. His goal that day stopped big spending Rangers doing a treble. He was also part of the famous 1988 Centenary double winning team. Born in the shadows of Celtic Park in that famous year of 1967 he was signed for Celtic from Aberdeen in 1987 by Billy McNeill and made his debut in the 5-0 win over Dundee.

Tommy Johnston will always be remembered for the goal that won Martin O’Neill his first league title at Celtic Park in front of 60,000 fans against St. Mirren. Under O’Neill, Tommy was part of the treble winning team that season. He was the late great Tommy Burns last signing for Celtic. He was part of the double winning 1997/98 team when Celtic stopped the 10IAR and was on target when Celtic beat Aberdeen in the League Cup final in 2000.

Alan Thompson what a signing he turned out to be by Martin O’Neill and what a left foot. He scored so many memorable goals in the hoops including some crackers in big games against Rangers, Barcelona and Liverpool. He was no stranger to red cards against Rangers picking up 3 in total and who can forget his contribution on the road to Seville for the UEFA Cup Final.
