It was an early start this morning to catch the 4am 100x bus to Dublin airport for an early flight to Glasgow. I must have left it late to book for this match as the only reason I can think I would have booked this early flight was because it was cheap.
Like so many Celtic fans I didn’t get a ticket in the ballot for Tynecastle on Sunday and watched the game on Sky and the penalty debate rages on after Celtic appealed it only for it to be thrown out by the Forces of Darkness in Scottish Football.
Martin O’Neill spoke to media yesterday at the pre-match press conference and he talked about if reinforcements come in the squad and more importantly if they are quality signings.
He also said there is still work going on behind the scenes. He shared the worries of the Celtic fans of what might happen if we don’t get some of the quality signings he spoke about.
Tonight we face Utrecht in the Europa League when I checked yesterday there were still tickets available for a big European night with qualification certain to the knock out stages if Celtic can win the game. The game may sell out today but some Celtic fans have had enough of the Celtic’s boards performance and have decided to vote with their feet and keep their money in their pocket.
Another of our Japanese summer signings Shin Yamada headed out on loan after failing to make any impact on three Celtic managers. Full back Hayato Inamura went out on loan earlier in the month as predicted by Brendan Rodgers back in the summer.
We wait in hope for that quality that O’Neill has asked for as he echoes the words of Rodgers at the start of the season. The managers may have changed but the conversation remains the same!
