Making his first start of the season, James Forrest was the star of the show at a sold out Celtic Park. Celtic’s Senior Bhoy was on form as he cut inside from the wing causing the visitors Hibs all kinds of problems.

He was rewarded with the match ball after banging in 3 goals to give Ange Postecoglou food for thought ahead of a packed schedule of games from now till the World Cup break.

Those 3 goals means Forest joins the elite group of Celtic centurions who have scored 100 goals for the Hoops. A true professional in both attitude and performance. Having been dropped down the pecking order for a regular start he grabbed his chance to remind the fans at a sold out Celtic Park that he still has a lot to offer in the green and white.

Buzzing after the game James said

“Last season everyone was talking about it but I don’t like thinking about it. It’s better once you’ve done it and you can speak about it then.

“It’s incredible and I just want to keep working hard and score more goals. It’s a great achievement and a great feeling.”

Celtic manager, Ange speaking after the game had this to say about James

“Obviously a special shout-out to James Forest who has now scored 100 goals for this football club and it’s an outstanding achievement.”

Forest opened his goal scoring account for Celtic way back in May 2010 against Motherwell. Hopefully he can repeat it if he plays against them on Wednesday when we visit them for our League Cup Quarter Final encounter.

James Forest take a bow you have wrote another chapter in the famous history of Celtic Football Club.
