Monday starts a new week and a busy week for Celtic. Celtic fans will be travelling to Bologna midweek for Thursday nights game in the Europa League before returning for Sundays mouth watering clash with Hearts on Sunday at Tynecastle. Celtic fans don’t have the luxury of travelling for free like those on the Celtic board but they will be there to support the bhoys.
The conversation today among Celtic fans will be the lack of urgency by the silent Celtic board in the transfer market and their refusal to speak to Celtic fans on the future for OUR club. There does not seem to be a short term plan never mind a long term plan.
If we lose the league to Hearts or the rangers with £80 million in the bank it will be criminal and even the Celtic fans who still think that the Celtic board are doing a great job will have to question the direction they are taking the club and the wages they are pulling out of the club.
It was clear for all to see yesterday from Celtic’s performance in the Scottish Cup that the squad does not have the quality in reserve to compete in all competitions if they are called upon. Brendan Rodgers called for investment in better players and now Martin O’ Neill has echoed that. Surly they must listen to a Celtic Legend but maybe not!
