Managers come and go. Football is a results business and Brendan Rodgers officially resigned from his post as Celtic manager last night. As usual when a Manager resigns or is sacked from a club a statement will be released.
Last night was no different at 9:44pm saying that Brendan Rodgers had tendered his resignation and the club had accepted it. They then gave him a back slap for two successful periods as manager and wished him well for the future. All pretty standard I am sure you will all agree before telling us that Martin O’Neill and Shaun Maloney are coming in on an interim period.

Well that’s that then we all thought but we were wrong. Dermot Desmond who does not own Celtic and is a non executive director puts on his Dictators hat and delivers an assassination of Brendan Rodgers character. Over 500 words battering the former Celtic manager. Is this the correct way to treat a former employee who has brought so much success to the club while hanging out Celtic’s dirty washing in public. Surly Brendan Rodgers has to come out and defend himself!

The fallout is a fans protest outside Celtic Park tomorrow night ahead of the home game against Falkirk organised by the Celtic Fans Collective.

If the club is to move forward than change is needed at board level and not just in the dugout. Has Dermot the Dictator finished asking for resignations?
