Frustration grows within the Celtic support

On Wednesday night Celtic collected 3 points away from home against Falkirk and kept a clean sheet in the process. Martin O’Neill will know that performances will have to improve on the road if we are to catch League leaders Hearts.

Kasper Schmeichel had been leaking goals in recent weeks and has come under pressure from some sections of the Celtic support. He had to be at his best to ensure that Celtic secured all three points.

The only goal of the game came from this season’s top goalscorer Benjamin Nygren.

O’Neill was happy with the win after the game when he spoke to the media. He knows Celtic did not play well and he knows that Celtic need to bring in players including a striker or two to bolster Celtic’s attacking options.

Frustration grows within the Celtic support on a daily basis with no new players coming. After the last two transfer windows confidence in those running the club is very low and expectations that they will back O’Neill are not high.

Rugby Park is our destination today for the away game with Auchinleck Talbot in the Scottish Cup. It should be a routine win for Celtic but we all know that giant killings do happen in the cup.

The game kicks off at 5:30pm and will be shown live on Premier Sports and streamed live on Celtic TV outside Ireland and the UK.
