Celtic v Livi Preview

news
30 March 2024

I spent the international break watching Ireland v Belgium and Switzerland. Both Mikey Johnstone and Adam Idah took part in both matches in Dublin. But now all our thoughts turn to Livingston away on Easter Sunday.

On a week when we found out Celtic fans will be allocated tickets for Ibrox next season and likewise their fans will return to Celtic Park.

It is worth mentioning that Livi are one of the only teams who cash in on the demand for tickets from Celtic fans and it gives a lot of fans an opportunity to enjoy an away day in a full stadium who don’t normally have access to away tickets.

Rodgers will not be looking beyond this game with Ibrox on the horizon. Although we have beaten them 3 times this season. Livi made us work hard for the recent cup quarter final victory and this time it’s on their dreaded plastic pitch

At the pre-match press conference the manager gave an update on injuries and it was music to our ears and every Celtic fan will now be looking forward to the return of Reo Hatate who is back in the squad after a lengthy lay off with injury.

CCV is fit, Yang has come back from international duty a little tight and will be assessed ahead of team selection. The game comes too early for Luis Palma and Callum McGregor will not be risked ahead of the trip to Ibrox.
