With the 2022 World Cup in Qatar kicking off on Nov. 21 and not finishing till Dec. 18. The Scottish Premiership 2022/23 season will now kick off the last weekend in July.

The winter break will take place during the World Cup. Celtic will play their last game on the weekend of Nov 12/13 and action will return on the weekend before Christmas Dec. 17/18.
There will be a busy festive spell of fixtures, with clubs playing five matches in 15 days between 24 December and 7 January, including on Christmas Eve and Hogmanay, which are both Saturdays.
The Scottish Premiership will finish up on the last weekend in May 27/28.

This will also affect the League Cup Semi Finals and Final which will now take place in 2023. Semi’s are scheduled for Jan. 14/15 and the final scheduled for Feb. 26 with the group stages starting July 9/10 2021.
The date pencilled in for the Scottish Cup final is June 3 but it is yet to be confirmed.
