Brown who loves a tussle at Ibrox was dropped from new Dons manager, Jim Goodwin’s squad for Saturdays defeat to the Rangers.
Celtic travelled to a less than favourable haunt on Sunday with a visit to Almondvale to face Livingston and Ange Postecoglou shook up the team by selecting the old guard of Bitton, Ralston, Taylor, McGregor and Man of the Match James Forest.

The atmosphere was electric from kick off in the stands as Celtic took over the 3 stands and the home team got a great payday something that other small Scottish clubs should look at again after Celtic’s away day ticket allocation gets smaller as each season passes by .
Rangers played on the Saturday and were level on points after a late goal win over Aberdeen at Ibrox so the pressure was on Celtic ahead of kick off.
Celtic had not won at Livingston since a 4-1 Scottish Cup win in 2007. In the league it was the year before when a 2-0 win was the difference. 15 years since we last won on the plastic pitch, so it’s about time that record changed and the relief and celebrations were there for all to see as each goal hit the back of the net and when the final whistle sounded the players took their applause from the fans enjoying themselves in the Spring Sunshine.

After dropping points the previous weekend away to Hibs, thankfully it wasn’t too damaging after Rangers drew at Ibrox with Motherwell, we then beat St Mirren on Wednesday, 2-0 but we were still nowhere near the form of a month ago when we left the field at halftime in Pittodrie.
Livvy are having a good season, they sit 5th in the table on 37 points, with a record of won 10, drawn 7 and lost 13. In their last 5 league games before they faced Celtic they have won 3 and drawn 2. Last week at Almondvale they beat Dundee United 2-1.
The previous meetings this season showed how tough a task it could be for Celtic and many Celtic fans were nervous ahead of the game.

In September, Livingston beat Celtic 1-0 at Almondvale and then in October they came to Celtic Park and left with a point after a 0-0 draw.
With little room for error, Celtic overturned the 15 year hoodoo that Livingston had over us at Almondvale. Any sort of win would do but the Bhoys turned on the style.

The two legs against Bodo Glimt have shown we are no where near a finished article. It does mean we have no European distraction in the pursuit to regain the title.
For some reason, the performances have not been good since we beat Motherwell, the pressing game and quick passing doesn’t seem to be materialising and we are just scraping wins in the league and ultimately humiliated again in Europe. A 5-1 aggregate loss to a Norwegian team is hard to stomach.
Maybe Ange had given up the Conference League after the home defeat and is focusing on the league, that doesn’t help the travelling fans who ventured to the Arctic Circle.
Last week we made hard work of beating bottom of the table Dundee, you would think after hearing Rangers slipping up before hand that the players would be right up for it but again it was a fairly feeble performance at times.
Our last game at Easter Road, saw some great football from Celtic in the first half, as we sat back a bit in second half. We need to start this match in similar vein to maintain our lead at the top of the table.
Hibs sit 4th in the table with 34 points, yet have 9 wins, 7 draws and 11 losses. They have won their last two, against Arbroath in the cup and last weekend saw them record a 2-0 win at home against Ross County.
Hopefully we see a return to the performances from a few weeks ago so the nerves are quite not as frayed.

Mick Kane hails from Glasgow. He has been hooked on Celtic since he went to his first game when he was 7. Celtic beat Hamilton 8-3 at Celtic Park on the 3rd of January 1987. His favourite player at the time, Brian McClair scored four goals.
He started going regular as a 16 year old when Celtic played at Hampden for the season, being a Southsider it meant a short train journey to get to Hampden. From then he has had a season ticket travelled around Europe for games as Celtic became the dominant force in Scottish football again. A nice change from growing up during Rangers run to 9 in a row.
