In January this year, young Paul Stark was diagnosed with the incurable rare disease Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy.
Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy is a rare genetic condition that causes muscles to weaken over time.
It is linked to a lack of dystrophin, a protein that helps keep muscles strong and working as they should. Without enough dystrophin, muscles are more easily damaged and gradually become weaker.
Duchenne usually affects boys and symptoms often appear in early childhood. It is a progressive condition, which means it changes over time and can affect mobility, strength, energy, the heart and breathing muscles.
Friends and Family have rallied round to help Paul and to raise money and awareness. A website has been set up to give information and to raise money through donations and sales of merchandise

On Friday September 18th the charity is hosting a Golf Classic at Cathkin Braes Golf Course.
Tom Watson once said a great golf course not only frees but challenges a golfer’s mind and the stunning setting of Cathkin Braes offers the perfect environment to do both.
Founded in 1888 and later redesigned by the acclaimed James Braid, it is the oldest golf course in Glasgow. The 6200-yard, par 71, moorland course is, despite its name, relatively flat but there are some tricky tree-lined holes, such as the par-3 fifth where you must overcome a loch to reach the well-protected green.
Although situated only five miles from the centre of Glasgow, it is in the middle of the countryside and widely regarded as one of the best inland courses in the West of Scotland.

Entry for a team of 4 costs £600 or team of 3 with a former player/celebrity. Guest Golfers confirmed include Paul McStay, Scott Brown, Tom Boyd, Simon Donnelly, Jackie McNamara, Cillian Sheridan, Joe Miller, Joe Ledley, Derek Riordan, Bobby Petta, Charlie Mulgrew, James McFadden and Tommy Johnson.
Arrive at 08:15am Tee Off is Shotgun at 09:15am
The Golf will be followed by Buffet Lunch, Prize Giving, Raffle and Auction hosted by Comedian Des Clarke. To book Email Liam Donnelly liam150a@gmail.com
