Drama in the East End of Glasgow

There is never a dull moment at Celtic after another week of drama in the East End of Glasgow.

Sunday 01: On loan striker Tomáš Čvančara opened his scoring account for Celtic at Celtic Park against Falkirk. Benjamin Nygren kept his impressive scoring record from midfield. Falkirk made it hard for Celtic but Martin O’Neill’s unbeaten run both in Scotland and in Europe continues since returning after the Nancy’s 33 days in charge.

Monday 02: Celtic sign 3 players on loan as the transfer window closes and send out 2 first team squad players on loan. In comes Junior Adamo, Benjamin Arthur and Joel Mvuka. Stephen Welsh goes back to Motherwell for regular first team football and Johnny Kenny headed down south to Bolton.

Tuesday 03: The Celtic Fans Collective meet in Glasgow and the outcome is a call for a boycott of the Dundee Cup game on Saturday. Celtic fans remain split of the decision.

Free Agent Alex Oxlade Chamberlain continues talks with Celtic to sign for six months. He is club less and training with Arsenal. A Premier League and a Champions League winner a fit Chamberlain could be a great signing.

Hearts are beaten by St. Mirren in Paisley.

Wednesday 04: Celtic’s game with Aberdeen in Pittodrie is called off due to a water logged pitch. The rangers beat Kilmarnock and move 3 points ahead of Celtic into second in the SPFL and close the gap to 3 points behind SPFL leaders Hearts.

Thursday 05: Celtic interim Chairman, Brian Wilson speaks to Celtic TV and addresses Unity talks between the club and Celtic supporters going forward. Celtic have contacted individual groups about meeting but as yet have not contacted the Celtic Fans Collective which represents the majority of the Celtic supporter groupings.

Friday 06: Martin O’Neill in his press conference confirms that Alex Oxlade Chamberlain could become a Celtic player over the weekend but his signing is too late to be included in the Europa League squad. O’Neill confirmed of the 5 new loan signings that Benjamin Arthur and Joel Mvuka are not included in the squad. Julian Arajo, Tomáš Čvančara and Junior Adamu are in the squad for Stuttgart games.
