Each year we host the Annual More than 90 Minutes Charity Dinner in Glasgow and each year our great friend and Lisbon Lion John Fallon would attend to the support the event. At our 2025 dinner John was once again at the dinner with another former Celtic player Peter Grant and in good form holding court at his table.
Sadly John passed away later in the year and he is missed by so many people and missed on match day holding court outside the Celtic Pools Office before taking his seat inside Celtic Park. Home and away John was there to support Celtic.
He lived his dream when he signed for Celtic and went onto play for Celtic during the most successful period in the clubs famous history. He became known as the 12th Lion after that famous European Cup win in 1967 in Lisbon.
It is a fitting tribute that we host this years dinner in honour of John and the charity that carries his name. The 12th Lion is dedicated to constructing a school for 500 children in South Sudan, honouring the legacy of John. Click link for more information.
Our tribute night dinner takes place at the No. 10 Hotel on Saturday 14th March after Celtic play Motherwell at Celtic Park. A table of 10 costs £450 (Individual tickets £45). Kick of is 7pm with a drinks reception in the company of some famous faces from Celtic’s history and entertainment by Paul Sheridan from the Wakes.
The night also includes a lovely meal, guest speakers and a tribute to John from family and friends.
