Nothing Matters Only Winning on Saturday / Everything else can wait

Glasgow Journalist Michael Pringle joins More than 90 Minutes Editor Andrew Milne for their weekly catch up to talk all things Celtic.

The Bhoys are buzzing after last weeks 4 goals in extra time to secure Celtic’s safe passage to face Neil Lennon’s Dunfermline in the Scottish Cup Final. There are so many talking points from that game.

A number of Celtic players have signed new contracts including James Forest. Will Callum McGregor stay at Club? Will Martin O’Neill have a role at the club after this season? Will the Celtic board cash in on Engels? Who will be on the Celtic board? All questions up in the air till the summer but worth talking about.

The bhoys also touch on Bernard Ponsonby’s speech at a Celtic charity dinner. The veteran journalist and former STV political editor delivered an impassioned speech which hit the nail on the head and has everybody talking since.

For now the only thing that matters now is the football and getting behind the team when they play Falkirk on Saturday at  5:30pm The bhoys preview the game and cast an eye over the rangers and Hearts games on Sunday.

The Bhoys wrap up the Podcast going down memory lane and chatting about past title run ins. The highs and lows including Brian McClair’s contribution and  the season Dundee United won the league.

Martin O’ Neill Can Deliver Silver / Title Run in with Tommy Johnson

Former Celtic striker Tommy Johnson joins More than 90 Minutes Editor Andrew Milne to chat about the title run in and if Martin O’Neill can deliver silverware? Tommy is backing his old Gaffer having won a treble under him and scoring the goal that won the league that season before the split v St. Mirren.

Tommy signed for Celtic in March 1997 by the late great Tommy Burns from Aston Villa after sitting in the Celtic dressing room talking to Tommy about football. He was gutted when Fergus McCann sacked Tommy a few months later only to be reunited with him when he returned to the dugout with Kenny Dalglish after John Barnes was sacked.

He enjoyed the good times when Celtic stopped rangers doing 10IAR and a treble winner under Martin O’Neill. He knows what it is like to be in the dressing room with O’ Neill and he knows the frustrations of being sidelined at Celtic like so many first team regulars this season.

Why Celtic is Good for your Health / Over Land and Sea

He has organised a Celtic Supporters hike for LauraLynn to give something back to the charity for what they have done for Penny and continue to do for him.

The bhoys exchange stories on past trips home and away including a Ska and Reggae night in Sally Browns in Rome before the Lazio game to singing Simply the Best at Ibrox.

They also look back at Celtic’s 1-0 win over St. Mirren on Saturday and look ahead to the rest of the season.

All Still to Play For / A week with Billy McNeill & Kevin Bridges

Glasgow Journalist Michael Pringle joins More than 90 Minutes Editor Andrew Milne for their weekly chat about all things Celtic. Michael can’t hide his happiness at the return of the Green Brigade to Celtic Park for Saturdays game v St. Mirren. They have been in the North Curve section of Paradise.

The split fixtures are out and has Martin O’Neill finally found a striker in Kelechi Iheanacho after his winning goal at the end of the 2-1 win in Dundee? The title run in has been the topic of most Celtic fans conversations this week and the lads give their thoughts.

With the World Cup this summer in North America and Mexico the bhoys reflect back on some of their memories of the tournament and trips to North America and a week in the company of an unknown young comedian called Kevin Bridges and Frank McAvennie.

Billy McNeill was also on that Canadian trip and the bhoys go into memory overdrive with stories of meetings with the Celtic Legend. Michael ended up traveling to Milan with the Celtic legend while Andrew goes back to 1986 when he met Billy and Mick McCarthy at Manchester City’s training ground on a Boxing trip to the city as a teenager.

The bhoys also chat about Day Clubbing which is appealing to older dancers who don’t want to be out all night from Raves in Glasgow to 80’s Discos in Drogheda.
